Genre: melodic death metal
The first release under the new band moniker, Mindmare (well, that's not true, because the firs release was a promo single release of the track "We Shall All Fall", taken from this EP), "Disordered Existence" is a prime example of high quality melodic death metal.
The band basically carry on the style of the two Morfeus demos "Thorned Harlequin" and "Fueling the Flames of Hate" (there's even a rerecorded version of the title track from the latter on this release), but they've upped the brutality and aggression a bit (and they also experiment with some non-growled, but very rock 'n' roll' vocals), and the musicianship has improved.
This release is very professional, and, in my opinion, this release rivals those of Swedish melodeath giants like At The Gates, Arch Enemy and early In Flames. This is good stuff, and the band should have been signed by a major label on the basis of this release - it is simply some of the best melodic death metal from the Danish scene.
Recommended to fans of Swedish melodic death metal.
