The sole album of the band with an interesting lineup of former and future members of BOSTON that was put together by guitarist Barry Goudreau. The voice of Fran Cosmo is the star here as he has a high-pitched voice that hits those notes surprisingly well, but the bass and guitars are also quite strong. Ironically Brad Delp, first singer of Boston is on here too as the backup singer and Fran Cosmo would go on to be the next singer in Boston. This is definitely not metal but very well written hard rock and a couple AOR tracks that sound like the next step of the Boston sound.
“So You Ran” was a minor hit on classic rock radio in 1984 and is one of the best tracks. I personally think that song and the strong “All Those Years,” the power ballad “Dreamin” and “I Call It Love” are the best tracks and worth the price of admission. I still like this album a lot after all this time and although it isn't nearly as strong as the excellent first release from BOSTON, I like it a lot more than their second DON'T LOOK BACK.
