Bad things cause bad things...
Genre: hard rock / glam metal
With lyrics about sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll - and liters of wine - the Italian band Sandness, smearing it with an extra layer of sleaze, pretty much capture the core spirit of glam metal.
Thus, "Like an Addiction" is primarily all about having fun, pulling chicks and rocking out with your cock out. And, while the lyrics are primarily in the silly-fun department, I like what Sandness are doing musically. You see, what they have done is that they have latched on to early glam metal the way it sounded in the early to mid eighties, before it descended into all hair and no substance.
This means that most of the songs on the album have more in common with early Mötley Crüe, early Quiet Riot and early Winger than with the low quality music that is normally associated with glam metal (but which really represents late glam metal before the genre imploded on itself and was mercy killed by grunge). There is even a hint of NWoBHM (just check the guitar harmonies in the opening track 'Artificial Lover'). And there's a good dose of straight up hard rock to enjoy too.
So, if you wanna rock out with your cock out (whilst drinking some wine), then give "Like an Addiction" a listen or two.
