SONIC DEBRIS is a progressive metal band from Hedmark in Norway. Sonic Debris was formed in 1995 and released their debut album "Velvet Thorns" on the Dutch label DVS Records in 2000. After a few years of gigs in Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands, among them the prestigious Prog Power festival, the band took a break to give priority to other musical projects.
The band came back together in 2007 with two new members; Mr Sletta (ex-Surferosa) and Daniel Marken (ex-Dunderbeist). Then they started and working on material for the sequel to "Velvet Thorns". During 2008, 10 new songs were recorded in Hamar Recordin and formed the basis of the 2009 album Day For Night.
The band's music can be described as a mix of pop, gothic rock and heavy metal. The band's influences are Depeche Mode, NIN, Marillion, Missing Persons and Queensrÿche.
