Talas were a hard rock band from Buffalo, New York. They formed in 1974, and are most famously known for featuring bassist Billy Sheehan, who became well known for his style of flashy lead bass playing. They released 2 studio albums and 1 live album before dissolving as Sheehan's profile grew, leading him to join David Lee Roth's solo band. They reunited briefly in the late 1990s.
