The anthem of metal...
Genre: power-thrash
Hailing from Canada, The Order of Chaos is fronted by Amanda Kiernan, and this is their third full-length album. Released in the fall of 2015, it follows up on 2011's "Burn these Dreams" (and the 2012 EP "Sexwitch").
Exploring the intersection of power metal, thrash metal, and traditional heavy metal, The Order of Chaos delivers the goods in the form of solid metal tunes that are both aggressive and very melodic. This balance works extremely well, and listeners are bound to like both the thrashy riffage of a song like 'Indoctrination' and the catchy vocal melodies of a song like 'Evil Surrounds Me' as well as the traditional metal throwbacks in 'Survival of the Richest'.
The songs on the album are well written, and the musicianship and production are exemplary. Amanda Kiernan's vocals are aggressive as hell, which naturally suits the music on the album very well.
Fans of US power metal and thrash metal should definitely check this album out.
