Tystnaden... I attended a concert in 2003 in Camino al Tagliamento (Udine), a great concert. Then I lost contact with these delicious boys. I have bought this beautiful demo. That is written and played with immense devotion. Sure because all musicians are devoted of Metal and because they are great musicians. After the concert, I wondered why they had not yet a contract. What then were. True or not true... This band in 2003 was better live that in CD. But this is a small problem.
The songs are 4 and all are melodic. The music is a sort of Symphonic metal with growls (male voice) and clear voice (female voice), not distant to Nightwish but with more harshness and aridity. The keyboards are represented by a piano very close to Classic Music. The only flaw is represented by the voice of Laura De Luca quiet and melodic parts: his vocal style is not suitable for these parts (She's not an opera singer) and it ruin a little the atmosphere of "Tystnaden. But if this is a problem...
In general, I'm sincere, "Fragments" can not be defined simply as a demo. I have to say that "Fragments" is very well recorded, mixed and produced. Better than many albums. And what makes this demo a little masterpiece.
