AEROSMITH's self-titled debut album is a nice collection of addictive bluesy hard rock. These Boston bad boys who always seemed to me to be America's answer to the Rolling Stones didn't find instant success with this one but “Dream On” would be reissued four years later and would eventually hit the top 10 on the Billboard charts and a staple for classic rock radio for the rest of eternity.

The rest of the tracks are decent as well with my favorites being “Somebody,” “Mama Kin,” “Write Me” and “Walkin' The Dog” which is a cover of the Rufus Thomas song. Well after listening to this again I actually like all these songs. I can hear the origins of certain idiosyncrasies in their music that would continue throughout their career.

Although this isn't the best work they would come up with I for one find this a very good debut and a really good listen. All the songs showcase their strengths as a nice tight boogie blues rock act and as we all know they would go on to become one of the biggest bands of all time.
