Chilean hard rock have never been better than this! Fans of early Skid Row and White Lion are given a pleasant treat with a heavily distorted acrobatic guitar and youthful Sebastian Bach's spectacular scream through the hands and throats of Javier Bassino and Chaz Thomson respectively. Abundant melodies and catchy choruses, constructed and well-planted on the heart of each songs, making "Chain Reaction" a fun listening ride from start to finish, especially if you're into late-80s glam movement.

"Prom Nite", a teenage sexual-fueled ode, the furious "RoadKill", and hard rock gem of "Chains N Cellars", are authentic proofs that these guys were raised on Skid Row's debut. "Unleash The Love" is another huge number, but wait until you hear "No News, Good News", this one is a big killer. Like what Eddie Van Halen did with "Eruption", you can hear a slight Bassino show-off on track 7, a paradise for solo-guitar hunter. Like most glam bands, ballads are an obligatory to sweeten up the album. "Be Mine" is a decent acoustical track but "Two Souls One Heart" is definitely better, though I honestly think, Fahrenheit should solely concentrate on creating hard rock tracks because that's their real expertise.

I don't expect this to be good at first, though I can't find anything original here as basically this is a revisit to 1987-1989 era, the excellent songwriting and tight musicianship are top notch. Originally issued in 2004 by Perris, "Chain Reaction" was also released in 2007 by Greece label, Sleaszy Records. I wish they will go back making English albums for an international release as after this debut, Fahrenheit had decided to focus on the local market with their native language. Great album!
