Metallic post-hardcore/alt metal in the vein of Quicksand, Rollins Band, Orange 9mm and Helmet. This arrived a little late to the party, as it was released in 1997, just when the nu metal stylings of Limp Bizkit were getting popular in the heavy rock world. But the main reason it failed to make an impact (unlike fellow 1997 TVT debut album "Sevendust") is due to the fact that nothing about this is memorable at all. There aren't any catchy hooks like with Rollins Band, or brutal headbanging riffs like with Helmet. The only thing remotely interesting is the occasional use of eastern acoustics, and that some of the songs appeared in the b-grade cult horror film "Modern Vampires".
