Kvist's sole album captures a solid melodic black metal unit's swansong perfectly. With solid production that might turn off those who want to be kvlter than kvlt but which I find teases out the best of their performances, and excellent lead performances from the brothers Hagen, it's a short but sweet affair (clocking in at under 37 minutes) and all the tighter for it. And unlike some melodic black metal acts, Kvist are far from averse to kicking it up a notch and going on a raw attack on the senses when it'd be most effective. Excellent stuff, highly recommended to all black metal listeners, neophyte and expert alike.

I love this album. A real shame they never made more.
