Warthur
By Orange Goblin's third album, the psychedelic and space rock influences which had helped them stand out from the stoner rock crowd on their debut album (Frequencies from Planet Ten) have almost completely vanished, and all that's left is a fairly commercial and radio-friendly heavy rock sound with just enough Sabbath influence audible to still justify its classification as a stoner rock album. It's a fun enough listen, I suppose, but there's hardly a shortage of stoner bands playing in this particular style and the band don't offer a whole lot that their competitors can't match. Then again, stoner fans could do a lot worse.
