Normally I don't really follow the metal demo scene at all, but I happened to go to the same senior high as a guy who was closely associated with this group, providing artwork, webmastering and drunken studio company and background shouting. He gave me this demo, which I ended up listening to quite a lot at the time when it came out.
This debut release shows a band doing quite a conventional brand of thrashy death, and I wouldn't really be surprised if these three were their first three tracks written as a band and chronologically presented, as each one is better than the last. Starting with the simple and a tad disjointed title track things are taken up a notch with The Inner Beast, which features a rather good speed metal riff and is a much more cohesive song than the first one. But crowning the demo is Addicted to Blood, with a brilliant verse riff and an even better power chord pattern behind the chorus. We had good fun with the earlier mentioned friend playing this song and some Slayer stuff on breaks between classes in our senior high days, with me handling guitars and him playing drums.
At best brilliant, at worst merely ok. Perhaps you should try it out as it's freely downloadable from their website.
