This is a step up from the debut INRI, in that this time around I actually find Sarcofago's sound pleasant and listenable, but it doesn't quite creep above three stars for me. The occasionally deathy thrash metal on here is competently done but I don't personally hear anything which really sets the band apart from the crowd, and the songs as a whole are rather unmemorable. On the whole, it really isn't an album which I'm inclined to revisit on any sort of regular basis, which is a shame: INRI had personality, but poor music, whereas this has OK music with no personality. If only they'd found a happy compromise they might have been onto something.

I know most people consider this to be Thrash metal with some Death Metal elements to it, but to me it's the other way around. I think it's straight-up DM with some Trashier elements. Harsh vocals, blast beats sections, double bass drumming, tremolo picking, even the mid-tempo sections sound very DM to me. Regardless, I love it. Midnight Queen and Julie are real stand-outs. Love the mid-tempo melodic stuff. Definitely a masterpiece in my book. Recommended to any fan of DM and Thrash but it's not an album for those who don't like any DM elements. 5/5 stars for me.
